As the bonfire society rolls into it's 27th year we've been busy as ever behind the scenes working on this years bonfire celebration, fundraising and generally keeping ourselves busy. As you may or may not be aware all of the money taken on the night of our event gets split up and given to various charities and local causes. It's increasingly costly to put on with general costs rising along with essentials like insurance (and fireworks!), so the fundraising we carry out during the year is of the utmost importance. Luckily, our endeavours this year have been mostly successful. We've had a well attended dinner dance, several bootsales and recently a closely fought clay pigeon shoot amongst other things!
We've still got more to come too, our event this year on the 18th of November followed by an appearance at the annual Christmas Capers evening in the village on the 1st December. Come along and see us, have a chat, see what we do, all of the support is greatly appreciated and if you're interested in joining please get in touch via the form on the contact page.
We look forward to seeing you out there! - Rob J Lawrence : Chairman
